What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Creative Services position at Bakersfield Condors?
Role Summary:
Reports to the Director, Creative Services. The Manager, Creative Services will assist the Bakersfield Condors Marketing department in all graphic and web design projects and assist in the coordination and execution of all assigned elements relating to live game and event production.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain brand identity, style formatting and design standards.
- Deliver brand-conscious communication/marketing collateral.
- Manage third parties/vendors for all communication/marketing print projects.
- Brainstorm, conceptualize, execute, iterate, and finalize multiple design projects simultaneously from start to completion
- Communicate with outside print vendors, relaying specifications for production and participating proofing processes
- Preserve, protect and uphold brand standards and the use of Condors marks amongst outside vendors and internal parties
- Manage and maintain graphic files including photos, logos and art; distribute as requested
- Oversee all aspects of original creative elements including but not limited to:
- Logo Creation
- Seasonal Campaign Collateral (environmental signage, dasher boards, ice logos, magnets, pocket schedules, ticket books, game time publication, print and digital advertisements, publications, point of sale materials, etc.), E-mail marketing and campaign components
- Social media graphics (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat)
- Website and App assets (backgrounds, banners, pop-ups, takeovers, etc.)
- Photo retouching, enhancement, and experimentation
- Promotional Items (Specialty Jerseys, Giveaway Items, etc.)
- Meet with necessary Ticket Sales, Corporate, Service, and Operations departments to determine details of upcoming game nights and ensure needs are met while keeping fan experience at the forefront.
- Support organization capabilities to ensure the continual improvement, growth and development of the Condors organization.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Degree is In lieu of degree, extensive experience in a related field will be considered
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
- A passion for sports and entertainment production.
- Familiarity with printing and production processes is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and team player.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must have access to a vehicle and a motor vehicle license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
- Successful applicant must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
This role is budgeted to start at $20.17/hour.
