Physical therapy Assistant (Cash Pay, Outpatient Ortho, Manual Therapy)

Balance and Body Restoration Inc
Dublin, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/5/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/4/2025

Dear Friend and Colleague,

Our clinic, Balance and Body Physical Therapy and Massage is currently looking for a passionate, growth-minded Physical Therapist Assistant to help us expand our 100% cash-based practice. Let me take a moment to share why joining us could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Why Work in a Cash-Based Practice?

There are tremendous advantages to working in a cash-based setting. First off, we can effectively get rid of MOST, if not ALL of the “downsides” to working in a traditional outpatient setting.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Say Goodbye to Overwhelming Caseloads: No more grinding through 14, 16, or 20 patients a day.
  • No More Tedious Documentation: No more taking notes home just to get denied by insurers over a missing checkbox, or range of motion measurement.
  • Autonomy in Your Practice: No more doctors or insurers dictating your treatment plan. You’ll have the freedom to focus on what matters most: helping patients get better and improving their quality of life.

How working here will benefit you:In addition to eliminating the typical “downsides” of working in a conventional insurance-based clinic, here are five additional benefits that will make this place a rewarding and fulfilling place to work.

  • Working With Amazing Clients

One thing that sets our clinic apart is the quality of our patients. Imagine a schedule filled with clients who are not only grateful but genuinely motivated to get better. Think of all of the patients you’ve seen in the past that you honestly enjoyed working with, and looked forward to seeing on your schedule…

At our clinic, 80-90% of our caseload consists of these types of patients…

Those who are health-conscious, motivated, and who truly appreciate the work we do as clinicians. They’re here because they value our expertise and trust us to help them regain mobility, strength, and the ability to live their best life.

  • Clinically Challenging and Intellectually Stimulating Cases

We don’t focus on straightforward cases like grade 1 ankle sprains or mild biceps tendinitis… Instead, we specialize in chronic, complex, and difficult conditions.

We work with patients who have been let down by the traditional medical system and come to us as a last resort. They’re patients who have been in pain for years, many of whom have tried PT, or many other treatments in the past, but just weren’t able to find someone who could address their underlying issues.

As a result, the types of cases you will see will challenge you clinically, personally, and also your overall resourcefulness and really force the best out of you as a clinician.

So If you’re someone who is up for the challenge of working with complex cases, and are able to think outside the box, I believe that you will thrive, and have a fulfilling career working here.

  • Quality Over Quantity:

Our patient schedule is very manageable: 5-8 patients per day, with 30- or 60-minute appointments. You’ll have time between sessions for documentation, which we keep minimal—only what’s necessary for clinic use and legal compliance. This way, you can focus on delivering quality care without feeling burned out.

  • Commitment to Growth and Learning

One of our top priorities, is a strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional development. That’s why we hold weekly 3-hour training sessions covering:

  • Clinical skills
  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Communication skills
  • Evidence-based literature reviews
  • Program development

Our goal is to create an environment where excellent clinicians can truly excel, grow, and be rewarded—personally, professionally, and financially.

  • Building Something Special

The ultimate vision for our clinic goes beyond just pain or injury management. We also aim to become the go-to place for health and wellness for the aging, health-conscious population.

We plan to expand into ongoing wellness, strength training, and mobility programs, helping clients continue their progress long after their initial recovery. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of this journey from the ground up and help build something special that will have a positive impact on our community for a long time.

Our Clinical Philosophy

We’re heavily inspired by the Functional Movement Systems (FMS) and use an SFMA approach for assessments. While you don’t need to be certified, familiarity with these systems is a plus—we’ll teach you the rest. We believe having a unified assessment approach helps us collaborate more effectively as a team, ensuring we’re all aligned in delivering the best care.

We also place a huge emphasis on manual therapy, as a tool to help quickly relieve pain and restore mobility, and ultimately earning patient trust.

The focus aftewards is helping our clients improve mobility, build strength and create full body wellness programs to help them keep pain away and help our clients live their best lives.
