Front Desk Administrator assists patients of and visitors to the office. They maintain the organization of the office and ensure that the patient experience is excellent, to include providing a welcoming, calm and quiet environment for patients and their families. The office assistant provides compassionate service to all patients while calmly managing patient communication, billing, collections, insurance liaison and answering telephones.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone.
- Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording, and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients and expediting third party claims.
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
- Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Hours Available: 15-20 hours/week
Patient Hours: Monday: 9am – 12pm; 2pm –5:30pm
Employee Hours: Monday: 8:30-12:30 & 1:30-6:30
Patient Hours: None
Employee Hours: Unless we close on another day/s during the week, we will see patients on Tuesdays.
Tuesday administrative hours may be needed based on tasks not completed during normal working hours.

Patient Hours: Thursday: 9am – 12pm; 2pm – 5:30pm

Hours worked may run later than listed here.
Tuesday morning hours may be required when either the office is closed on another day of the week, and Tuesday us used to supplement patient hours, or if administrative duties are not completed during normal hours. These days will be scheduled in advance as much as possible.
Wage/Salary Information: $15.00-$17.00 per hour based on experience
Chiropractic Care: All employees are eligible for courtesy chiropractic wellness care.
