Inventory Control Coordinator
This is a hands-on role responsible for inventory accuracy, ERP transactions, and material flow from receiving through production and shipment in a manufacturing environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in ERP systems, and the ability to support daily inventory and shipping operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including data manifesting, receipt verification, and ERP transactions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by issuing material to correct inventory and crib locations.
- Pick, stage, pack, and ship material according to work orders and pick lists.
- Generate shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers as needed.
- Drive the full RMA and returns process, including ERP setup, return shipments, and credit tracking.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and damaged material.
- Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory control processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and standard work.
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory areas in a safe, organized, and audit-ready condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in inventory, materials, shipping, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience working with ERP or database-driven inventory systems.
- Strong data accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot inventory and transaction discrepancies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience in inventory control or materials coordination.
- Hands-on ERP transaction experience for receiving, issuing, and shipping.
- Familiarity with carrier portals and shipping documentation.
- Experience supporting cycle counts or inventory audits.
- Exposure to continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate material moving equipment, including pallet jacks and similar devices.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to wear required PPE in shop and dock areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing and warehouse environments with minimal temperature variation.
- Low noise levels during production hours.
- Daily coordination with production, purchasing, quality, and external carriers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
