Summary
Balfour Beatty in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As part of the marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator s primary role is that of providing services to support acquisition of new business and management of communications both internally and externally.
The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator position include: research and preparation of proposals, brochures, qualification packages, presentations, brochures, development of external and internal communications and other marketing services and materials that brand Balfour Beatty by clearly communicating its differentiators and benefits to both internal and external customers.
Essential Functions
Proposals
- Develop strip-out for proposals.
- Coordinate with various proposal team members to obtain required information.
- Develop written content; technical writing experience a plus.
- Proofread and edit proposals.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite software to create professional, creative layout and design for proposals by incorporating a balance of images, graphics, copy, white space; include theme statements, features/benefits; etc.
- Provide quality reviews of proposals prepared by self and others.
- Assist in development of interview presentation materials.
Communications Support
- Assist, as needed, coordination of press releases, project photography, advertisements, award submittals, qualifications packages, social media posts, and other strategic initiatives.
CRM
- Research, gather data, and manage CRM to keep current project information, client reference and other critical data for proposals.
Work Histories
- Conduct interviews, gather data, and manage personnel work history data to keep resumes current.
Creative Support
- Provide creative support for recruiting, subcontractor and special events, as well as support required by various departments and jobsites.
Professional Associations
- Participate in professional association related to role and industry.
Inter-divisional and Corporate Services Support
- Provide support as needed for other divisions and Corporate Services.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Working Conditions
In general, performance of the job requires the Marketing Coordinator to be at the Balfour Beatty main office and requires minimal travel.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate s degree a plus. 2-3 years of marketing and/or proposal experience preferred.
- Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite of software, as well as Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry is preferred.
- Solid technical writing, photo editing, page layout, and presentation software experience.
- Uses time effectively based on key priorities; accepts direction from more than one person at a time and oversees multiple projects.
- Communicates well and create effective customer-focused relationships with all organization levels.
- Able to write clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles.
- Demonstrated strengths in written and organization skills and verbal communications.
- Makes decisions under tight deadlines with composure, occasionally with incomplete information.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
