What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative - Balkan Beverage position at Balkan Beverage Llc?
Summary:
To optimize execution at the account level and cost effectively distribute company products. Major objectives are to improve market share; distribution; account relationship; product shelf position; and optimize sales per stop. This particular route is centered around Oneida, NY. As front line representative to retailers, use personal relationships to develop a positive image of the Company by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Assists Area Supervisor with the development and implementation of monthly sales plan.
- Achieves sales objective and performance standards identified in the sales plan.
- Completes pre-trip vehicle inspection and notifies Field Supervisor of any issues.
- Check inventory of truck prior to leaving the warehouse.
- Call on assigned accounts according to schedule.
- Delivers product to customer, stocks shelves, and rotates product.
- Collect all accounts receivable within designated accounts per company policy.
- Sets up sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
- Collects or picks up empty container or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Adheres to all sales standards (per sales manual) example: P.O.S., rotation etc.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with sales deliveries.
- Records sales or delivery information on daily records.
- Reconciles inventory at the end of the day.
- Fills out DOT driver log at end of day and turns into Field Supervisor at the end of the week.
- Completes bank deposits of payments from customers on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related sales or retail grocery experience and/or training.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record and access to a reliable vehicle. Able to obtain DOT Physical card in order to operate CMV’s. Must be able to pass a motor vehicle/background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must continuously lift 50 lbs. and/or occasionally move up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance and color vision.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
