POSITION SUMMARY:

Located just minutes from New York City, Baltusrol’s two championship golf courses have played distinguished roles on the national golf stage since their creation by architect A.W. Tillinghast. Its facilities and amenities are regarded among the finest in the private club industry, and have helped earned Baltusrol recognition as one of the leading Platinum Club in America by Club Leaders Forum. The Club has hosted 19 major championships in its 125-year history, including seven U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, and most recently, the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. It will again welcome the best players in the world in 2029 when it hosts its third PGA Championship.
We’re looking for a driven and talented person to join our Clubhouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the member experience through thoughtful communication and organization of member needs. You will report directly to the Assistant General Manager and will oversee the Club’s front desk operations, lodging, laundry, and housekeeping.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage a team of Clubhouse receptionists as well as housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Supervise the Club’s housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Take reservations for dining and lodging, and effectively communicate changes to staff and members.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for housekeeping, laundry, and front desk operations.
• Positive member engagement with an emphasis on visibility, name recognition, and hospitality
• Proactively maintain standards of cleanliness and Club aesthetics.
• Maintain an open line of communication with Clubhouse events and dining departments to ensure accuracy and satisfy member needs.
• Maintain accurate and organized member activity records.
• Support staff through hands-on involvement in housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Liaise with Club vendors and oversee purchasing in accordance with annual budgets.
• Assist with implementing policies and procedures throughout the Clubhouse.
• Assist with à la carte dining operations and events coordination.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Hospitality and/or Business Management is preferred.
• 2 years management experience at a luxury hotel, private club, or comparable hospitality facility.
• Experience working with Property Management Systems preferred.
• In-depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to engage members through thoughtful attention to detail.
• Strong planning and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
