Job Overview
The Shift Leader’s role in a Bambu Shoppe is to ensure that every task required during your shift is focused on creating a great customer experience. Bambu’s mission is “a social gathering experience for everyone to enjoy our-Asian inspired signature Ché, Smoothies, Teas, and Coffees.” Your customer & quality centric behavior by actively working in the kitchen or as the cashier will be the role model for your co-workers. This includes sincerely welcome guests into our Shoppe, passionately describing our menu and ingredients, confidently guiding them into getting the drink “Just the Way You (They) Love It”, and proudly serving a consistent and well-presented drink.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Staff training and mentoring
• Ensuring quality of ingredients are being used
• Ensuring that consistent and quality drinks are being served
• Use the POS system and its tools with complete integrity
Daily Tasks:
• Frequently inspect Shoppe for exceptional cleanliness
• Ensure customers are being greeted within three seconds of arrival
• Accurately transact orders on the POS capturing specific customer requests
• As closing shift leader, generate closing report, reconcile cash, and deposit per policy
• Encourage the use of the Bambu loyalty/rewards program
• Know menu alternatives for dairy free, vegan, and other customer requests
• Make smoothies, teas, coffees and Chè quickly and accurately
• Keep work stations clean, restocked and organized
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures of the Shoppe
• Ensure menu ingredients are properly prepped to Bambu specs
• Restock paper and other service supplies (i.e. straws, cups, spoons)
• Wash dishes including pots, pans, utensils, blenders, flatware, and dishware
• Clean and take proper care of all equipment
• Clean front-of-the-house including POS, tables and chairs, windows, and doors
• Clean & maintain bathroom toilets, urinals, sinks, and soap & paper dispensers
• Empty trash cans and clean receptacles as needed and always at closing
• Ensure floors are swept and mopped as needed and always at closing
• Notify Manager of any discrepancies, inventory needs, and unacceptable staff behavior
