Position Summary:
A Commercial Loan Processor is primarily responsible for preparing commercial loan documents accurately and timely to meet and exceed customer expectations. In doing so it supports the Relationship Managers and Business Service Representatives with accurate and consistent documentation that is compliant with applicable regulations and government programs.
The position will develop a strong knowledge of Bank First commercial loan products including SBA programs, letters of credit, agricultural programs, and participations. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan requests and work with Business Service Representatives to gather all necessary information to prepare accurate documents.
- Review loan approval to ensure the request has been properly approved.
- Perform pre-closing tasks, including verifying legal name of entity, reviewing organizational documents to determine owners and authorized signers, confirming collateral lien status, determining adherence to loan policy and evaluating overall compliance with government regulations.
- Ensure disbursement and closing statements balance and include loan fees and pre-closing costs such as appraisals, floods and preliminary title work.
- Work with bank participants and/or Business Service Representatives to prepare documentation accurately and timely.
- Develop an understanding of required documentation for various government programs and construction financing.
- Ensure pre-closing and executed loan documents are electronically archived properly.
- Review and approve outgoing wire transfer requests.
- Verify correct documentation has been received for clearing of post-closing collateral exceptions and remove exceptions upon verification.
- Using construction management software, input project information and setup budget. Upon receipt of the draw request, verify procedures have been followed and all steps have been completed prior to initiating the funds transfer.
- Assist other team members and departments as needed

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience with commercial documents
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the day
