What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Loan Processor position at BANKWEST?
BANKWEST is searching for a full time Loan Processor with at least 5 years of experience. Competitive wage is based upon experience.
Duties include:
- Prepare proper loan documentation for commercial, real estate and consumer loans and letters of credit for loan officers
- Assist in the filing of UCC collateral, titles, mortgages, satisfactions and other loan documentation
- Typing of correspondence, memorandums, loan comments, credit summaries, payoff letters and various other miscellaneous projects as needed
- Insurance tracking of all collateral that is security of BANKWEST loans
- Assemble & image loan files according to established procedures to include new/renewal loan documents, comments, UCC filings, perfection of secured interest in titled property, etc., and follow up on pending documents to perfect collateral for each loan
- Input of new loans, extensions, AFTs, sweeps and loan maintenance on the Jack Henry System, CIF 20/20
- HMDA monitoring and reporting
- Process paid loan files
- Review files for current financial information and other required documents on an ongoing basis for future loan requests and regulatory examinations
- Maintain and provide quality service to retail clients for credit, deposits and related services consistent with department objectives for profitability and credit quality; monitor and control accounts taking necessary measures to minimize bank risk
- Greet customers and process loan transactions as requested
- Listen for sales queues and refer customers to the appropriate staff for additional financial products and services offered by BANKWEST
- Keep abreast of changes in products, policies and procedures and attend training as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Customer Service
- Assist customers with resolution of loan account problems and issues by phone or by servicing walk-in customers
- Provide excellent customer service to assure customer satisfaction with their banking relationship
- Provide backup to incoming phone calls as needed
- Notary Public duties as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education and Professional Skills
- High school degree required
- 5 years of loan processing experience required
- Knowledge of loan documentation requirements for all types of loan
- Ability to key, type, and process loan documentation with high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines that pertain to BANKWEST and loan functions
- Excellent phone etiquette and people skills
- Able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written to both customers and bank staff
- Possesses a friendly disposition and enjoys working with the public
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and a willingness to be a team player with a good work commitment
- Computer/software knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and bank’s main operating system.
- Capable of operating phone system, fax machine, copier, printers, scanning, etc.
- Able to listen and relate to customers in a positive, energetic manner / empathetic to customer problems / understand customer needs and the elements of customer service
- Professionally represent BANKWEST’S image in the community
- Understand BANKWEST products and services, discuss them and cross-sell them in the bank or by phone
