 Essential Functions:
- Works in collaboration with the Food Services or Dietary Manager to help with the development of menus and ordering of food.
- Maintains cleanliness of dining room, kitchen, and equipment, ensuring proper shutdown and opening of kitchen and compliance with national, local, and sanitary standards.
- Discards waste properly and manages storage of perishables to avoid food spoilage and waste in accordance with sanitary standards.
- Requisitions food, supplies, and equipment, and inspects and tastes food for quality.
- Inspects and supervises the serving of food, ensuring quality, quantity, and appetizing appearance of meals.
- Ensures preparation and handling of food comply with sanitary regulations, administrative policies, budgetary requirements, and meal schedules.
- Prepares ingredients for cooking, uses cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware proficiently, and applies various cooking procedures and methods.
- Understands cross-contamination prevention and follows proper dishwashing procedures.
- Ensures proper cleanliness and care of kitchen equipment after each use.
- Complies with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Preference:
- 1 year of work experience as a Cook or related.

Qualifications:
- Experience in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, and food preparation.Â

Abilities:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills.
- Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding:
