Full Time Days
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Baptist Health Hardin. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to maintain a safe secure environment within the healthcare facility. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance, respond to emergencies, and facilitate conflict resolution
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports out-of-the ordinary activity in and around the hospital/grounds
Respond to security and safety related emergencies
Conducts investigations and completes reports
Provides security escorts as needed
Excellent customer service toward patients, families, and employees
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid KY driver's license with satisfactory driving record defined by BHH policy
BLS cert within 90 days of hire
Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training, required 30 days of hire
Crisis Situation Management (CSM) required 90 days of hire
Hazardous Materials first receiver cert required 90 days of hire
Able to pass the Taser X26P course required 6 months of hire
Able to pass Handcuff training course required 6 months of hire
Good organizational, oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to work well with others and present a professional appearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year security exp preferred
IAHSS Basic cert preferred
