Manages decontamination, sterilization, distribution and storage of supplies, instruments and equipment. Participates in Performance Improvement. Demonstrates Fiscal management. Maintains proper enviornment of care. Participates in ongoing education. Completes all assigned goals.
Job Summary
Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a certified registered central service technical credential administered by the International Association of healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution; OR was employed as a central service technician before January 1, 2017; OR obtains certification as listed above not later than 2 years after the date of hire. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
