Assist in operation of the gift shop by performing duties necessary to maintain and operate the shop seven days a week, including assisting customers and the manager, operating the cash register, receiving, pricing and restocking merchandise and supplies, as necessary. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day to day operation of the gift shop, including opening and closing when scheduled to ensure shop is maintained and open for business during normal working hours seven days per week.
- Perform duties necessary to maintain accurate bookkeeping records required by the gift shop and the accounting department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shop by cleaning shelves, straightening, restocking, and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly storeroom, shelving merchandise in the proper area and removing trash and other duties as needed.
- Operate the cash register according to standard procedures.
- Order, receive, price, and distribute merchandise as directed.
- Make deliveries to patient rooms or nursing station.
Education
