Perform all functions of the Medical Technologist and supervise the personnel and activities of various sections of the laboratory for effective and efficient operations. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the managerial, technical, and educational functions, including supervision of shift personnel.
- Perform and supervise performance of clinical analyses.
- Implement, assess, and document quality assurance procedures according to established protocol.
- Develop and maintain operational plans for laboratory instruments and management of departmental materials according to CLIA requirements.
- Communicate and consult with physicians, technologists, and other health care professionals.
- Develop and utilize a program for self-improvement and professional development, including completion of all departmental continuing education requirements.
Bachelor of Medical Technology from an accredited school.
