Server/Waiter

About the Role:

As a server at Bar Lazio, you’ll be the face of the guest experience — from recommending our signature pinsa and seasonal spritzes to ensuring each table feels like part of the family. We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, attention to detail, and a love for Italian food and culture to every shift.

• Prior serving experience is preferred, but not required

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, including Aloha POS and OpenTable.
• Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner while ensuring proper sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining guest confidentiality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service or guest services, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Focus POS is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
