Security Officer

Barbier Security Group (BSG) is a rapidly growing Bay Area based security services company. Founded in 2007 Barbier Security Group has been tasked with providing custom protective security programs for individuals, government organizations and private companies.

Security Officers are primarily responsible for perimeter and access control and will ensure guests and employees feel secure and welcomed everyday. We are seeking candidates with exceptional presentation and customer service skills.

NOW IMMEDIATELY HIRING: Security Officers for a variety of sites in Marin County to include a scenic college campus, centrally located shopping center, Homeless Shelters, Bus Depot, and commercial building clients. Let's see if we can make a job match happen!

• Shift: Morning, Swing and Graves (Must have weekend availability)
• Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (site specific)

Qualifications:

• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Excellent interpersonal and written skills; bilingual is a plus
• Professional appearance; well groomed with no visible tattoos or piercings
• One year previous security officer, mobile patrol or event staff experience preferred
• Good driving history (3yrs - no suspensions or serious violations) in order to be added to insurance at applicable sites or for Patrol positions
• Desire to pursue police academy, law enforcement, or criminal justice career encouraged
• Permit for exposed firearm is a plus (*preferred for Vehicle Patrol ONLY*)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
• Experience in customer service or hospitality industry, demonstrating a customer-centric approach to security
• Training or experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
  
  

Requirements:

• Be a minimum of 18 years of age
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Current California Guard Card License
• Reliable form of transportation
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
• Ability to pass a Background check and drug screening
• Clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Ensure compliance with company policies and processes
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on various surfaces (concrete, carpet, etc.)
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Ability to move 50lbs
  
  

Security Guard Duties May Include:

• Maintain a detailed on-duty activity log
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards at all times
• Adhere to company standards while interacting with the public, clients, and emergency responders
• Depending on site, guards may be required to operate a company vehicle while patrolling client property
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues
• Process oriented with high attention to detail, and triage a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision.
• Responding to various reports by customers/tenants at specific sites
