What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Exam Essay Graders (Contract) position at BARBRI?
This contract position is 100% remote and runs through July 2024.
BARBRI is seeking experienced attorneys to grade practice essays for our students taking the BARBRI bar review course.
BARBRI essay graders must be proficient in reviewing the law, breaking down difficult concepts, and determining whether the students have correctly grasped what is required of them on bar exam essays.
The selected candidate(s) will work on a contract basis with BARBRI’s course operations team.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed critique on bar exam essays submitted by students
- Guide students towards the preparation of dramatically improved essay responses
- Adhere to strict deadlines
Requirements
- Graduate of an ABA-accredited U.S. Law School
- Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Excellent communication skills
- A reliable, high-speed internet connection for downloading the essays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching law students
- Previous experience reviewing and grading bar review essays
