Monitor Tech Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

• The Monitor Tech is responsible for supporting the departmental health care team and patients in accordance with established guidelines, such as observe the monitors for all patients on the unit, print strips per policy and report changes to the RN/Charge Nurse immediately. In addition.
• The Monitor Tech will also be responsible for providing general clerical support to the departmental manager, staff, physicians, and patients in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, such as Meditech data entry, filing, and the answering of telephones and call lights.

Experience, Education and Licensure Required:

• Successful completion of a dysrhythmia recognition course (required).
• Current BLS through American Heart Association (required).
• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Completion of EKG course and monitor tech certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of prior Monitor Tech experience (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.11 - $24.93 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
