What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attendant, Grounds position at Barona Resort & Casino?
OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for keeping assigned grounds and outside areas clear and free of debris, presenting the Casino’s guests a safe and pleasant sight.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Many of the job responsibilities will be conducted in exterior areas of the operation. Activities will be carried out in year-round weather conditions. Work will be conducted on stage and back stage environments, including smoking areas. Work hours will fluctuate depending on projects, daily tasks and emergency situations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting
- Performs general manual tasks including cleaning and pickup trash.
- Disposes of materials properly.
- Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
- Uses a variety of tools as directed.
- Assists other members of the Facilities Department as required.
- Understands and complies with Facilities Department and Casino policies and procedures.
- Participates in the Step Into the Magic program and other related training programs provided by the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate with supervisor.
Ability to follow directions.
Knowledge of commonly used tools practices and procedures within a given field.
Friendly and courteous personality.
Able to work under general supervision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED desired.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
0 – 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
