What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead, Grounds position at Barona Resort & Casino?
OBJECTIVE:
To assist the department’s supervision in meeting the daily demands of the organization. Assure that materials and equipment are available to meet job requirements. Interacts with all department staff to meet the goals of the department.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Many of the job responsibilities will be conducted in exterior and interior areas of the operation. Exterior activities will be carried out in year-round weather conditions. Interior work will be conducted on stage and back stage environments, including smoking areas. Work hours will fluctuate depending on projects, daily tasks and emergency situations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Always be Barona NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting
- Performs routine tasks that are associated with his/her discipline.
- Stands in for supervisor in his/her absence.
- Sets up current jobs with required materials and equipment.
- Assists in planning out jobs in advance, identifies material requirements and prepares material requisitions.
- Assists with training department personnel.
- Assists in monitoring department staff activities for appropriate methods and performance to assure appropriate quality levels are met and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitors daily work activities and projects to ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and appropriate environment for guests and staff.
- Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations.
- Understands and complies with Facilities Department and Casino policies and procedures.
- Monitors, cleans up and disposes of material at the end of each work shift/job.

Proficient in his/her trade.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School diploma plus technical school certification preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3 years recent work experience in profession
