Barrett Hospital & HealthCare invites applications to fill an Emergency Department Technician II position to join our Emergency Department team. The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for the coordination of communications between nursing and ancillary services in participation in patient care. The Emergency Department Technician performs basic patient care and electronic record documentation tasks, under the guidance of the registered nurse and attending provider. The Emergency Department Technician interacts with patients, families, visitors and other staff members to ensure department efficiency within scope of practice and training. At times, the Emergency Department Technician may be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration processes. Incumbents must have a passion for customer/patient service excellence, team work and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Candidates with an active Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with one year of experience and/or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training will be required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
