Overview
The Strategy Project Manager is responsible for project development and execution of the company strategic initiatives and other strategic projects as assigned by the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. He / She will adhere to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as he / she manages the projects. He / she will oversee the planning and implementation of multiple projects and modifies and creates schedules as required.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide project management with the annual strategic initiatives set forth by the Strategic Planning Council.
- Assist in the ideation, creation, maintenance of strategic templates, tools, and reports.
- Provide guidance and coordination with multiple departments around approaches, solutions and best practices derived from strategic projects.
- Assist in the development, documentation and communication of policies and standards.
- Analyzes special circumstances that arise on projects and assists with other construction manager's unusual or difficult problems to solve complex building construction problems.
- Explain implications of changes to project scope and / or objectives to the functional departments and to the project team.
- Establish and maintain a usable and well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project.
- Determine project roles of team members based on project requirements, time frames and budget.
- Determine resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications.
- Manage scope creep through change orders, phased delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, budget and strategy expectations.
- Evaluate all key project deliverable, as well as final products to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and acceptance.
