Our company provides civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Our transportation services department is currenting hiring an entry to mid-level civil engineer with up to 5 years’ experience in road/street design and PennDOT approval experience. Small bridge design experience would be helpful, but not essential. We would also consider an upcoming December 2022 graduate for this role.
This position could be based out of either our Wilkes-Barre, Greater Scranton, Hazleton or Lehigh Valley offices.
Our transportation services department offers a full range of transportation services to municipalities, school districts, and private sector clients. Specifically, our transportation services include:
- Traffic Impact studies
- Traffic signal design
- Traffic-calming design
- Master planning
- School-zone design
- Roadway design
- Bridge & culvert design
- Right-of-way conveyance coordination
- Existing pavement analysis
- Construction management
- PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permitting (HOP)
- Railroad Crossing Design
Requirements
Desired skills include:
- B.S. Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT preferred
- AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or similar engineering software
- Technical knowledge and/or previous experience in areas such as:
- Hydraulic and process calculations
- Equipment selection
- Cost estimating
- Site design
- Site utilities
- Land development plans
- Storm-water management.
The successful candidate will be involved in several projects at one time, involving several team members and would need good communicators, be able to multi-task, and work well with others.
