Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete assigned month-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries in line with monthly and quarterly close schedules.
- G/L account reconciliation and related analysis of reconciling items for disposition.
- Prepare and/or review management reports and perform monthly financial statement reviews, research, and analysis.
- Maintain capital expenditures and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze departmental reporting.
- Support business in calculating variable expenses as assigned, to include sales commissions
- Supports the delivery of ad hoc requests from the North American Controller
- Works directly with shared service personnel to ensure that accounts are correct and reconciled and that closings are performed timely.
- Partner with other departments; assist in process flows.
- Maintain procedure and policy adherence to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with U.S. G.A.A.P.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from a recognized academic institution
- 5-10 years of general ledger accounting experience with increasing responsibility
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus
- CPA or public accounting experience a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
