Quality Supervisor (2200680)– Location
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and lead the Quality Control department on the Journey to EHS Excellence. As a Quality Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the work activities of employees working in the quality control department, as well as supports other manufacturing activities in facility as required to meet production goals. Additionally, you will develop processes relating to ISO 9001 activities, as needed.

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your background in Science or a related field you will lead efforts in the plant operations for continuous improvement in the areas of key quality related KPI’s such as First Time Quality, Non-conforming goods, and scrap and rework reduction.
- Relying upon your relevant industrial work experience and you your knowledge of six sigma practices you will plan tasks, personnel and work activities, and lead employees to meet designated goals, as well as maximize efficiencies and minimize operating costs. This includes the use of SAP to generate process orders and computer software to generate supporting paperwork.
- Demonstrating your previous experience as lead or supervisor in a manufacturing or distribution environment, you will supervise personnel in a plant laboratory setting, as well as handle administrative duties including disciplining employees, preparing performance reviews, interviewing candidates, and recommending hire and purchasing supplies.
- Utilizing your strong customer service focus, you will interface with customers, quality management, customer service, and distribution personnel to ensure that product quality meets specifications for performance.
- Displaying your excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, you will ensure your employees are appropriately qualified and have enough resources and skills to fulfill their responsibilities, as well as take an active role in training all employees and conducting routine awareness programs in your area of responsibility in the EHSQ requirements and policies to ensure that all employees are adequately trained for their function.
- Your exceptional organizational skills will serve you well, as you control and maintain the document control system (CompliantPro) and the Laboratory information system (LIMS), as well as ensure that local reports are working correctly. You will also ensure that individual responsibilities within the unit are clearly documented and communicated, and that raw material use, mixes and finished goods processing are properly documented.
- Utilizing your good management practices and knowledge of company policies and procedures, you will ensure that activities are performed in accordance with all BASF and OSHA safety policies, take immediate action to eliminate safety and quality risks, propose actions to eliminate non-conformance or deviations, as well as understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2018 and ISO 50001 and other ISO regulations, procedures and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.
- Your solid math skills and analytical skills will be a valued asset, as you routinely report on relevant operational excellence performance metrics for your subordinates, as well as train employees in SAP & LIMS entry, process order management and documentation requirements, QC standards, and testing procedures.
- Your mechanical aptitude will serve you well, as you implement, and monitor lab equipment calibration frequency and standards as well as required Gage R&R and multi-site alignment. Maintain records and communicate issues promptly.
- Applying your ability to multitask, you will perform regulatory audits and required duties to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures including RCMS, as well as perform and ensure housekeeping standards are always met to ensure proper presentation of facility and grounds.
