As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist you will LEAD by………
We are seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist at our Huntsville Alabama manufacturing facility. This position involves working with two other EHS professionals in the direct support of the sites EHS programs.
- As part of the site EHS department, you will Manage the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety programs and compliance to standards and norms in manufacturing operations.
- Lead the site’s contractor management process.
- Maintain and monitor EHS compliance programs while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs.
- Provide governance and oversight of EHS programs as well as expertise to the site as it pertains to EHS excellence.
- Lead and/or participate in investigation and root cause analysis for accidents/ incidents as needed.
- Participate in capital project and process hazards analysis reviews consistent with the level of EHS expertise needed.
- Prepare training materials & deliver training for various safety topics.
- Provide input to EHS Team and interface with regulatory agencies, as needed, on compliance and/or enforcement issues.
- Actively participate with the EHS Community across ECMS.
Your elements for Success………
- BS Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Science or Engineering is strongly preferred or 5 years Industrial EHS experience.
- Certified Safety Professional is preferred, but not required.
- Direct experience in chemical manufacturing plants preferred.
- Experience with hazard recognition, job hazard analysis and Process Hazards Analysis is a plus.
- Five or more years’ experience in implementing EHS programs in a manufacturing plant preferred.
- Seasoned computer skills (ex. Spreadsheets, word processing, database management) essential. Use of the Enablon system a plus.
- Customer Focus, Collaborate for Achievement, Entrepreneurial Drive, Drive Sustainable Solutions and Effective Communication skills are essential.

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $85k-$105k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
