What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Bass Pro Shops?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assembly is the part of the production process that is critical to the structural integrity of the boat. This operation assembles and installs the various parts of the boat using adhesives and mechanical fasteners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Precise mechanical assembly which can include building and installing locks, hinges, rub rails, carpet and trim. - 80 %
- Physically moving boats with co-workers thru production line - 10 %
- Maintenance and general housekeeping - 5 %
- Assist with Training new employees - 5 %
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School or Equivalent
Experience: Must have advanced beyond the skill level of Assembly B
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Ability and skill to properly use hand tools, air tools, cordless drills, etc.
- Basic mathematical skills
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
