- Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis routers, translating design specifications into machine-ready programs.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications to determine the most effective approach for CNC routing.
- Select appropriate tooling, adjust machine settings, and calibrate tools for optimal performance and precision.
- Create accurate programs for CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing errors or material waste utilizing AlphaCam software.
- Set up and operate CNC router machines, primarily involving solid wood and veneered panels.
- Conduct test runs and quality checks to validate programming and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CNC programming, machining processes, or equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure continuous production.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in CNC programming.
- Proficiency in AlphaCam CAD/CAM software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours when required.
