Our RCC should be of good character and have excellent clinical and critical thinking skills. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and ability to give our residents the best care.

Position Responsibilities:

• Reviews and documents daily in the communication log and within Point Click Care when appropriate.
• Reviews new orders and MAR daily.
• Supervises and reviews the transcription process, medication and equipment ordering, pharmacy cycle fill.
• Performs communication with outside agencies and medical providers.
• Reviews alert charting.
• Reviews incident reports as needed.
• Reviews cleanliness and organization of medication room.
• Reviews, supervises and assists with resident care as needed.
• Performs medication pass as needed.
• Assists residents with meals as needed.
• Reviews and documents on the service plan as needed.
• Attend service plans review as needed.
• Reviews and responds to Healthcare Service Coordinator audit to ensure compliance.
• Assist and/or conducts the orientation for new employees.
• Review and implement all necessary processes for optimal operational efficiency such as- shower schedules, laundry schedules, caregiver assignment sheets, etc.

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to utilize and apply basic management skills.
• Provides and coordinates resident care utilizing the principles of assisted living per the rules of the state where employed.
• Maintains adequate attendance record, notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with Human resource policies.
• Requires minimal supervision, is a self-starter and flexible.
• Organizes and utilizes time appropriately, sets priorities and accomplishes assigned tasks.
• Displays mature behavior in attitude, speech and action.
• Keeps resident information confidential, respects resident’s rights, respects privacy and the right to self-determination by the residents.
• Works cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers.
• Abides by the established policies and procedures of the Community. Looks for ways to improve Community function.
• Has the ability to spend long periods of time on feet and ambulate quickly.
• Is accurate, dependable, neat and thorough in assigned tasks.
• Is able to communicate effectively verbally, and in writing.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English is required.

Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills, Excel for scheduling

Other Requirements:

Previous work with the elderly population is desirable. Previous work as a medication assistant is desirable. Maintains CPR certification.

Universal Precautions: Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely.

Physical Requirements: Has the ability to do heavy lifting. (Up to 40 pound)
