As a Credentialing Specialist at Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Dermatology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all physicians and healthcare providers meet the necessary requirements and standards to deliver exceptional care. You will be responsible for verifying and maintaining the credentials of our medical staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all physicians and healthcare providers.
· Verify and maintain accurate records of licenses, certifications, education, training, and work experience.
· Coordinate with various state licensing boards, professional organizations, and other entities to verify credentials.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
· Maintain an organized and up-to-date credentialing database.
· Monitor and track expiration dates of licenses and certifications, ensuring timely renewals.
· Assist with the preparation and submission of credentialing applications and documents.
· Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders regarding credentialing status and requirements.
· Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical credentialing, preferably within a dermatology practice or similar healthcare setting.
· Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) is a plus.
