Staring Pay: $16 per hour
Position Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from designated locations using medical gurneys and wheelchairs.
- Ensure patients are securely and comfortably positioned during transport, adhering to company protocols and patient care standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients.
- Inspect and prepare medical gurneys and wheelchairs before each use to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage promptly to maintenance staff for repair.
- Follow company policies and regulatory guidelines regarding patient handling, including proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and patients to ensure clear understanding and coordination of transport logistics.
- Demonstrate empathy, respect, and sensitivity toward patients and their families during all interactions.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and represent the company positively in all communications and interactions.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years of age or older
- Must read, write and speak English and exhibit excellent communication skills
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Valid California driver’s license
- California DMV Motor Vehicle Report
- CPR / First Aid Card
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
