JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Weekday Childcare Provider
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Weekday Church Childcare Coordinator Full or Part-time: Part-Time
Ministry Team: Children’s Ministry
POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide safe, quality childcare for our weekday early childhood ministries. This is a flexible position working either Monday and/or Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:45AM during the program year which typically runs September through May.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brief description of duties in order of priority
- Responsible for providing a safe, nurturing childcare environment for infants, toddlers and preschool age children.
- Provide an environment where children can see, hear and feel Christ’s love in action.
- Carry out, age-appropriate lessons that have been prepared in advance.
- Attend meetings and trainings when scheduled by your supervisor.
- Follow teaching, discipline, and childcare guidelines set by Bay Presbyterian Church.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior childcare experience.
- A heart for children’s ministry and sharing Jesus with the children.
- Ability to adapt to last minute changes.
- Satisfactory background check required for all positions.
