Position Summary:
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities. This position may also be required to install equipment. Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and perform general mechanical repairs. This position is also responsible for providing indirect guidance to others and to provide project specific management to others. The Maintenance Technician III is also responsible to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. This position may be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines. This position may require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities. 4 years’ experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED. Performs other duties as assigned.
