Summary:
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
Required Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Minimum Qualifications: You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:
- 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
- 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
- Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
- Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program-if the Baycare approved PCT program did not include hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting, must attend the three-day Baycare PCT Boot Camp in Clearwater
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion
