What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Research Assistant to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the School of Engineering and Computer Science for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Research Assistant works in Dr. JB Lee's Micro/Nano Devices and Systems Laboratory. This is a full-time, temporary position.
A Bachelor’s Degree and less than one year of relevant work experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field and research experience is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Assist PhD students in ongoing research projects on liquid metal artificial muscles and/or electrochemical sensors for greenhouse gas detection
- Design/fabricate and measure the performance of the devices
- Work on procuring/installing necessary equipment and maintain the laboratory
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
