Tuesday- Thursday 8:30am-2:30p FedEx on-site

***Event coverage scheduled at the preference of the employee through sport scheduling app 10-13 hours per week depending on choice of 32 or 40 hour employee status. Middle school football required on Tuesdays August-November.

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is looking to hire a Work Strategies Specialist/Athletic Trainer. Job responsibilities for this position are OnSite coverage for an industrial client including Early Symptom Intervention, Ergonomics risk assessments, health and safety education, and injury prevention through risk reduction. Additional responsibilities include: Sports Medicine coverage, office ergonomics, and clinical hours. This position is ideal for a well-organized candidate with a diverse scope of interests and the ability to work independently. Industrial experience is a plus, but not necessary. Live and virtual on the job training, networking with professionals nationwide, and access to library of materials included!
Job Duties:
- Responsible for OnSite coverage for industrial client 27 hrs/week
- Accurate and timely documentation of all employee encounters
- Regular communication with client leadership and BSWIR leadership
- Sports Medicine / AT coverage throughout market 10-13 hours/week for full time status
- Delivery of full continuum or OnSite Injury Prevention Services including:
- Assessment, triage, and first aid application for work place injury/discomfort
- Ergonomic risk assessment and solution implementation
- Design and implementation of functional assessments, preventative exercise, and physical activity
- Job coaching and behavior modification one-on-one and in group settings
- Providing education and training on wide range of topics
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licenced Athletic Trainer State of Texas required
- BOC certification preferred.
- Minimum one year clinical experience, industrial setting experience a plus
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
