Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team at Bayshire San Dimas to assist in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead activities for residents in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating events, outings, and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a high level of care and engagement
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or assisted living is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with seniors
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and event planning
- Ability to manage schedules effectively and adapt to changing needs
- Compassionate attitude towards providing care for elderly residents
