Bayshore Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our incredible team!
The ideal candidate:
- Comfortable around dogs, cats, and exotics
- Compassionate team players with great communication skills
- Self-starters who can self-direct and move quickly from task to task, while still paying close attention to detail
- Hard workers who remain calm in busy and ever-changing environments
Skills and responsibilities:
- Animal handling, feeding, and cleaning
- Administering medications
- Assisting technicians as needed
- Observation of behaviors, and knowing when to alert a veterinarian or technician about a change in one of the patients
- The position is physical and involves a lot of standing and walking, lifting, and many chores throughout the hospital such as cleaning, dishes, restocking, garbage, and laundry
