Retail Sales/ Coffee Tour Guide

Bay View Farm Coffee is seeking a friendly and outgoing person to join our friendly team for our Sales and Tour Guide position. Retail Sales team and Tour guides ensure that itineraries are met and that customers are being informed in an entertaining and friendly manner. They are also responsible for ensuring the safety of the group and ensuring that tour groups remain together.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Customer Service/ Hospitality experience. (greeting, assisting)

• Deliver exceptional service to shoppers that results in repeat visits

• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.

• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.

• Collaborate with coworkers to achieve store sales goals through suggestive selling and special promotions

• Safely guide and conduct tours for our guest around coffee farm and processing area.

• Educating customers of the Kona products and Coffee industry (Willing to train)

• Listen to customer feedback and pass it on to the store manager.

• Assists customers with purchase decisions.

• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations to stock.

• Computer, Cash Handling and Point of Sale experience.

• Dependable and reliable

• Opening and Closing duties

• Clean, and maintain inventory in our gift shop.

• Able to Multi-task

• Arrange for transportation for visitors.

• Assemble and check required supplies and equipment before departing for tour.

• Describe points of interest along the tour and answer questions as required.

• May be responsible to guide visitors while operating a vehicle, traveling in a vehicle or on-site while providing commentary.

• Monitor visitors’ activities in order to ensure compliance with establishment or tour regulations and safety practices.

• May have to either plan and/or conduct itineraries and activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Excellent communication skills, professional, neat appearance.

• Able to work weekends.

• Ability to commute to the worksite(s).

• Ability to anticipate customer's needs.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous retail experience preferred.

- On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space

- Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 45 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
