About the Role: As an Outside Operator at the Milagro Gas Plant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and maintenance of our facility. This position involves overseeing and managing critical systems including the amine and glycol system, water treatment facilities, steam systems, power generation units, and gas-fired turbines. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems operate efficiently, safely, and within environmental compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the amine and glycol processing units to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain water treatment systems to ensure water quality meets required standards.
- Manage steam system operations to support plant processes and maintain system integrity.
- Oversee power generation systems and ensure uninterrupted power supply for all plant operations.
- Operate and maintain gas-fired turbines, including routine checks and performance monitoring.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment and systems.
- Respond to system or equipment emergencies, applying rapid problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and risks.
- Record operational data and maintain logs for all shift activities, system performance, and maintenance work.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to ensure seamless plant operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in industrial operations, particularly in petrochemical, oil and gas, or related fields.
- Familiarity with amine and glycol systems, water treatment processes, steam systems, power generation, and gas turbines is highly advantageous.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
