We’re looking for a Technical Assistant to join our team. Technical Assistants are the behind-the-scenes heroes that perform administrative and customer service tasks to ensure patients have a positive office visit and sonographers have an efficient workday. This is an especially great opportunity for healthcare students and does not require a degree or credential! You’ll get work experience in a healthcare setting along with a flexible schedule and tremendous opportunities for personal fulfillment and professional growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Call existing clinical sites to confirm the schedule the day before.

Assist clinical staff by calling patients, front desk check-in, and rescheduling patients.

Prepare patients and exam room for ultrasound procedures.
-
Retrieve patient files and obtain medical information relevant to the ultrasound exam.

Escort patients and visitors to the exam room.

Assist medical professionals with patient examinations or procedures.
-
Assist in updating and archiving medical records and ultrasound images.

Clean ultrasound equipment and restock supplies as needed.

Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times.
IS THIS YOU?
-
High school graduate or GED holder
-
1-2 years of experience in hospitality, healthcare, or administration
-
Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
-
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
-
Adept in following directions, especially when handling sonographic equipment

Ready to comply with health and safety policies and protocols
-
Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
-
Comfortable sitting for long periods
-
Capable of lifting or moving patients, including those in wheelchairs or stretchers
-
Capable of moving heavy equipment on wheels (up to approximately 500 pounds)

Associate’s or bachelor's degree

1-3 years of experience in healthcare

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certified

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
