What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at BCI Dental Laboratories, Inc.?
We are looking for a reliable delivery driver who is capable of transporting dental prosthetics (crowns, dentures, partials etc.) in a safe, timely manner. The delivery driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client.
To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our dental clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.
Schedule: The position offers a flexible schedule 5-8 hrs per day (9am-5pm).The delivery routes are in Petaluma, Sebastopol, Sonoma and Napa. Increased hours for those who take routes that may include travelling too east bay, SF bay area.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
- Loading, transporting, and delivering dental prosthetics from laboratory to dental offices in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
Delivery Driver Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Incidental Inc must be added to your policy as an additional insured
- Vehicle must be classified as delivery vehicle
- Limits must cover 250k for Bodily Injury/person
- Limits must cover 500k for Bodily cap/person
- Limits must cover 100k for property damage
- Experience not required but preferred.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry light items to and from car (5lbs max.).
- Attention to detail.
Benefits/Pay:
- $17.50 per hour
- IRS Federal Rate mileage reimbursement (.655 cents/mile)
- $100/mo. reimbursement for insurance cost
- $50/mo. cell phone allowance
- Drive approx. 20-25 hrs/wk.
- 12-20k miles/ yr.
