JOB COACH (Part Time)
BCRC provides a real life work experience for individuals with disabilities as they work in our vocational workshop. It is the place of employment for our participants to grow their independence and develop work skills.
As a Job Coach, you will be part of a team that provides on the job training, instruction, oversite and positive encouragement to participants as they complete assembly related work activities in BCRCs production center, in a variety of community activities, and through volunteer opportunities. You will provide direction to participants, maintain quality control and track the work they complete, provide a safe work environment and help facilitate their ability to work independently while developing positive work habits.
What your work week will look like:
- Work 4-days a week between Monday through Friday
- Daylight hours , 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- No weekends
- No Holidays
- No Evenings
Qualifications and Skills:
- Some experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided
- Valid Driver’s License
- Some secondary education helpful but position requires High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist participants to learn and accurately carry out job duties as they work towards independence.
- Maintains quality control and tracks production for all work performed by participants that he/she supervises. This can be by providing support to one individual up to six individuals.
- Uses a computer to document participant service notes, work completed and outcomes.
- Helps participants to develop soft skills such as positive work habits and communication and social skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not necessary.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be flexible, patient and display good decision making skills.
- Must be optimistic and demonstrate a willingness to work constructively and cooperatively with coworkers.
