Children's Pastor

The Beach Church is seeking a passionate and creative individual to serve as our part-time Children’s Pastor. This role is responsible for leading, developing, and nurturing children's spiritual growth (ages 4 through 11) by creating a welcoming, Christ-centered, and engaging ministry environment. The Children’s Pastor will partner with parents, volunteers, and the broader church family to inspire and disciple children, equipping them to live out their faith.

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive vision for children’s ministry that aligns with the mission and values of Beach Church

• Plan and implement weekly programs, special events, and curriculum that are biblically sound and age-appropriate.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and loving environment where children and families feel welcomed and valued.

2. Volunteer Recruitment & Training:

• Recruit, train, and mentor a team of volunteers to serve in various roles within the children’s ministry.
• Empower volunteers to lead small groups, teach lessons, and assist with administrative and event-related tasks.
• Provide ongoing encouragement and support to ensure a thriving volunteer culture.

3. Parent & Family Engagement:

• Partner with parents to provide resources and opportunities to support spiritual growth at home.
• Communicate regularly with parents about ministry updates, events, and serving opportunities.

4. Safety & Administration:

• Ensure all children’s ministry programs adhere to Beach Church’s child protection policies and procedures.
• Manage the children’s ministry budget and coordinate supplies and resources.
• Maintain attendance records and evaluate ministry effectiveness.

5. Special Events:

• Plan and lead special events, such as Vacation Bible School, family worship experiences, and seasonal celebrations (e.g., Christmas, Easter).
• Collaborate with other church ministries to integrate children’s ministry into the church's life.

• Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a passion for discipleship and evangelism.
• Affirms the mission, vision, and doctrinal statement of Beach Church.
• Demonstrates a love for children and their families.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a collaborative spirit.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Previous experience in children’s ministry or a similar leadership role.
• Familiarity with curriculum selection and age-appropriate teaching strategies.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead volunteers effectively.
• Proficiency with basic technology tools (e.g., email, social media, presentation software).
