Expediter/Food Runner
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Chef & Director of Food and Beverage___________________________________________________________________________________________________
JOB SUMMARY: Facilitate food service in regards to accuracy and quality standards set by the executive chef and food and beverage director. Maintain a clean work area at all times ensuring proper temperature and food handler standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Inspect food comparing ticket to specifications of item.2. Ensure quality and accuracy of all food coming from kitchen3. Pick up food from kitchen and deliver to guests using seat and table numbers4. Stock and refill all dressings, sauces and other condiments on FOH line.5. Stock and refill all dry goods in kitchen for FOH6. Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, including all shelves, equipment and floor.
Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas..7. Assist restaurant servers to serve the guest. Pour water and refill coffee and tea cups.8. Assist outlet opening duties such as setting tables, chairs, Chef in dish or chaffing dish, printing item / dish names for placing in front of the dishes.9. Emptying and cleaning food preparation carts.10. Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.2. Flexible schedule required, available to work weekends and holidays.3. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:1. High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year related experience and/or training.
