Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining property values, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maximizing profitability to the owners.

Key Responsibilities

Tenant Relations:

-Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally.

-Enforce lease agreements and property rules.

-Oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs, including inspections and deposit accounting.

Leasing & Marketing:

-Advertise and show available units.

-Screen prospective tenants and process applications.

-Prepare lease agreements.

Financial Management:

-Collect rent and other fees.

-Prepare and manage property budgets.

-Approve invoices, control costs, and report on financial performance.

Maintenance & Operations:

-Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.

-Conduct regular property inspections.

-Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.

Legal & Compliance:

-Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

-Handle eviction processes in accordance with applicable laws.

-Maintain accurate property and tenant records.

Qualifications

-Proven experience as an assistant property manager, or similar role.

-Knowledge of property management software (Buildium).

-Strong organizational and leadership skills.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Understanding of property management laws and regulations.

-Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications

-Real Estate License

-Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field.

- Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $20 per year/hour
