Critical Access hospital in NE is looking for a nurse with Medsurg experience to start ASAP.
Peds experience is also needed.
Job Requirements
Medsurg experience required.
BLS required.
ACLS preferred.
PALS preferred.
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7 to 7
Ratios : 1 : 4 days, 1 : 5 nights
Weekend Requirement : every third
Holidays : every third

Medical surgical unit

Unit : Medical surgical unit
beds : 19 acute beds all private rooms
EMR : EPIC
Charge Nurse : team lead on each shift- will take patients.
Nurse Aides : CNA 1 per shift except M-F they have 2 on days
Scrub Color : RN- Navy Blue, CNA- ceil blue
Tele : data scope monitors
Nurse's Read Strips? : yes, must be able to read and interpret
Drips : Insulin, Cardizem
Vents : no
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : yes
IV Team : no
RT 24 / 7 : yes
Pharmacy 24 / 7 : in house 7a-5 : 30p- then remote pharmacy after hours
Floating : no
Floor specific orientation : 2 days
Common diagnosis / Types of patients : large geriatric population (70% >
65 years old), hips, knees, shoulder, pediatric RSV, pneumonia, sepsis, influenza, wound care, cellulitis, inpatient hospice, travelers would not take Hospice patients
Additional Notes : Patient centered care, report at the bedside; variable hours 7 : 00am-7 : 00pm and 7 : 00pm-7 : 00am.
