The OB surgical technologist is a member of the OB team who works closely with the anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, registered nurse in delivery of patient care. Acts in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards as prescribed by the Governing Board, Hospital Administration and Patient Care Services of Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Position Requirements**Internal BMH Employees Only**
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Formal course in OR Technology.
- Certification in Surgical Technology required.
Experience:
- 1 years experience preferred. Newly certified will be considered.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Certification in Surgical Technology from national agency required.
- BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
