Job Summary:
The certified nurse anesthetist leader is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.
This role requires a strong focus on cultivating a patient-centric environment that addresses the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and functional needs of patients, their families, and significant others.
Responsibilities
- Implement accurate, safe, patient-centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, constantly monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation within hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information of all forms from unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure.
- Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
- Engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program
- Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs
- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required
- APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs are required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process
- Evidence of current competence to practice as {an APRN, PA, CRNA, CNM} via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible

- Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of senses of touch and vision.
Salary : $120,000 - $164,000
